After debating about which genre would be most successful for our group to produce, we decided upon a Romantic Drama. A Romantic Drama is a combination of the two genres Romance and Drama which are very popular and therefore will draw in a wide audience. This genre is the most realistic for us to use as high-tech editing is not needed and therefore a large budget is not required. The costumes and mise-en-scene in films of this genre are not outrageous or fictional as seen in Sci-Fi films, this means that we can buy normal clothing and props from shops for our characters which are less expansive. Additionally, already existing films of this genre have easy story lines which will also help our film be easier to make as we will not need to think of a complex story line which would be very time consuming. This will also help our film attract an audience of many different ages.
